I spent last weekend at the Texas Book Festival, which is a fun literary festival held every October in Austin, TX at the Capitol. There was a great turnout this year and I enjoyed meeting lots of new people.
I was very happy with the Cardboard Box Adventures booth setup that we had this year. We shared a table with InteractBooks, who publish all the Cardboard Box Adventures books on their interactive electronic platform for the iPad and iPhone. The CBA books are lots of fun viewed with their InteractBooks Reader (which is a free download from the iTunes App store…they also offer a few free sample books so you can see how they work).
Anyway, here’s a picture of our booth this year:

We also did a prize drawing this year, and here are a few of the prizes people won:

Third Prize was a soft cover CBA book of the winner’s choice.
Several elementary school teachers came by the booth this year. They seemed really excited to learn about CBA books and even bought some to use in their classrooms. One of the people I met at the festival this year was a mom, who later emailed and told us how much her son loves his CBA books and how he’s already taken his personal copies to school to share with his class. It’s so nice to hear things like that. It just makes my day! So thanks so much for sharing your comments with me. I really appreciate you taking the time to do that!
